Emphasizes the importance of ensuring consistency and coherence in the deliberations of the General Assembly and the Economic and Social Council on agenda items related to the work of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), as well as with the preparations for the United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development (Habitat III) and across the current consultations on major global issues, where appropriate, in order to promote coordination to minimize duplication of effort;

Decides to transmit to the General Assembly for consideration at its seventieth session the report of the Secretary-General on the coordinated implementation of the Habitat Agenda;

Requests the Secretary-General to submit to the Council for consideration at its substantive session of 2016 a report on the coordinated implementation of the Habitat Agenda.
