Requests the Secretary-General to render the necessary assistance and to provide such services, as may be required, for the second Meeting of States Parties and its informal intersessional process;

Calls upon all States that have not yet done so to sign, ratify, accept, approve or accede to the Treaty at the earliest possible date;

Calls upon those States in a position to do so to promote adherence to the Treaty through bilateral, subregional, regional and multilateral contacts, outreach and other means;

Requests the Secretary-General, as depositary of the Treaty, to report to the General Assembly at its seventy-ninth session on the status of signature and ratification, acceptance, approval or accession of the Treaty;

Decides to include in the provisional agenda of its seventy-ninth session, under the item entitled “General and complete disarmament”, the sub-item entitled “Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons”.
