Decides to proclaim 21 August the International Day of Remembrance of and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism, in order to honour and support the victims and survivors of terrorism and to promote and protect the full enjoyment of their human rights and fundamental freedoms;

Invites all Member States, organizations of the United Nations system, within existing resources, as well as other international organizations, and civil society entities, including non-governmental organizations and individuals, to observe the International Day in an appropriate manner;
