Welcomes the ongoing efforts to explore ways in which a new and strengthened relationship may be established between the General Assembly and its subsidiary organs on the one hand and the Inter-Parliamentary Union on the other, and encourages Member States to continue their consultations with a view to adopting a decision thereon during the fifty-seventh session of the Assembly;
