At its 12th plenary meeting, on 9 April 2024, the Economic and Social Council, in accordance with its resolution 1147 (XLI) of 4 August 1966, elected, by acclamation, the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, ITALY, MEXICO, POLAND,

Commission for a four-year term of office beginning on 1 January 2025.

The Council also elected, by secret ballot, JAPAN and the UNITED ARAB EMIRATES as members of the Statistical Commission for a four-year term of office beginning on 1 January 2025.

The newly elected members will fill vacancies occurring on the expiration of the terms of office of COLOMBIA,

As a result, as of 1 January 2025, the Statistical Commission is composed of the following 24 Member States:

* Term of office expires on 31 December 2025. ** Term of office expires on 31 December 2027. *** Term of office expires on 31 December 2028.
