At its 9th plenary meeting, on 9 June 2021, the Economic and Social Council,

(a) Took note of the report of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues on its twentieth session;50

(b) Approved the provisional agenda of the twenty-first session of the Permanent Forum as set out below:

Election of officers.

Adoption of the agenda and organization of work.

Discussion on the theme “Indigenous peoples, business, autonomy and the human rights principles of due diligence, including free, prior and informed consent”.

Discussion on the six mandated areas of the Permanent Forum (economic and social development,
