At its 46th plenary meeting, on 16 July 2014, the Economic and Social Council:

(a) Took note of the report of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues on its thirteenth session;46

(b) Approved the provisional agenda for the fourteenth session of the Permanent Forum as set out below:

Election of officers.

Adoption of the agenda and organization of work.

Follow-up on the recommendations of the Permanent Forum:

Outcome of the high-level plenary meeting known as the World Conference on Indigenous Peoples;

Post-2015 development agenda;

Youth, self-harm and suicide.

Half-day discussion on the Pacific region.

Half-day discussion on the expert group meeting on the theme “Dialogue on an optional protocol to the

United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People”.

Comprehensive dialogue with United Nations agencies and funds.

Human rights:

Implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples;

Dialogue with the Special Rapporteur on the rights of indigenous peoples and the Chair of the Expert

Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

Future work of the Permanent Forum, including issues of the Economic and Social Council and emerging issues.
