Encourages the Secretary-General and the Royal Government of Cambodia to take all the measures necessary to fully implement the Addendum to the Agreement between the United Nations and the Royal Government of Cambodia concerning the Prosecution under Cambodian Law of Crimes Committed during the Period of Democratic Kampuchea on the Transitional Arrangements and the Completion of Work of the Extraordinary Chambers (the Addendum) with a view to working towards the completion of the remaining residual functions and ensuring an orderly and timely transition to the new Cambodian institution;

Requests the Secretary-General to undertake with the Royal Government of Cambodia similar consultations, as envisaged under article 2, paragraph 2, of the Addendum, with respect to the period beyond 2027 or, in the event of the earlier completion of the judicial functions during the additional period from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2027, to assess whether there is any need for the remaining residual functions to be performed by the Extraordinary Chambers;

Also requests the Secretary-General to report to the General Assembly at its eighty-first session on the implementation of the present resolution.
