Takes note of the status of contributions to the United Nations Operation in Côte d’Ivoire as at 30 April 2024, including the contributions outstanding in the amount of 0.4 million United States dollars, representing some 0.01 per cent of the total assessed contributions, notes with concern that only 188 Member States have paid their assessed contributions in full, and urges all other Member States, in particular those in arrears, to ensure payment of their outstanding assessed contributions;

Endorses the conclusions and recommendations contained in the report of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions, subject to the provisions of the present resolution, and requests the Secretary-General to ensure their full implementation;

Takes note of the report of the Secretary-General on the final performance of the United Nations Operation in Côte d’Ivoire and the updated information on the net cash available in the special account for the United Nations Operation in Côte d’Ivoire in the amount of 6,481,000 dollars as at 30 April 2024;

Takes note of paragraph 9 of the report of the Advisory Committee;

Decides that Member States that have fulfilled their financial obligations to the Operation shall be credited with their respective share of the net cash available in the special account for the Operation in the amount of 6,481,000 dollars as at 30 April 2024, in accordance with the levels updated in its resolution 70/246 of 23 December 2015, taking into account the scale of assessments for 2017, as set out in its resolution 70/245 of 23 December 2015;

Encourages Member States that are owed credits referred to in paragraph 5 above to apply those credits to any accounts where they have outstanding assessed contributions;

Urges all Member States to make every possible effort to ensure payment of their assessed contributions in full;

Decides that, for Member States that have not fulfilled their financial obligations to the Operation, their respective share of the net cash available in the special account for the Operation in the amount of 6,481,000 dollars as at 30 April 2024 shall be set off against their outstanding obligations, in accordance with the scheme set out in paragraph 5 above;

Also decides that updated information on the financial position of the Operation shall be included in the report on the updated position of closed peacekeeping missions, to be considered by the General Assembly at its seventy-ninth session under the agenda item entitled “Administrative and budgetary aspects of the financing of the United Nations peacekeeping operations”;

Further decides to delete from its agenda the item entitled “Financing of the United Nations Operation in Côte d’Ivoire”.
