Decides to proclaim 24 June of each year the International Day of Women in Diplomacy;

Invitesall Member States, organizations of the United Nations system, other international and regional organizations, and civil society, including non-governmental organizations, academic institutions, associations of women diplomats where they exist and other relevant stakeholders to observe the International Day of Women in Diplomacy annually in a manner that each considers most appropriate, including through education and public awareness-raising activities, in order to promote the full and equal participation of women at all levels of diplomacy;

Stresses that the cost of all activities that may arise from the implementation of the present resolution should be met from voluntary contributions;

Requeststhe Secretary-General to bring the present resolution to the attention of all Member States, the organizations of the United Nations system and civil society organizations for appropriate observance of the International Day of Women in Diplomacy.
