Decides to include in the provisional agenda of its seventy-seventh session an item entitled “Use of the veto”, and that the item should remain on the agenda of the Assembly for consideration in accordance with paragraph 1 of the present resolution;

Also decides that, should a veto be cast by one or more permanent members of the Security Council during the remainder of the seventy-sixth session of the General Assembly, the President of the General Assembly shall convene a formal meeting of the Assembly, in accordance with paragraph 1 of the present resolution, under the agenda item entitled “Strengthening of the United Nations system”.
