Invitesall Member States, the organizations of the United Nations system and other international and regional organizations, as well as non-governmental organizations and individuals, to observe International Delegate’s Day, in an appropriate manner and in accordance with national priorities, in order to highlight the role of the delegates of the States Members of the United Nations in fulfilling the main goals of the United Nations, in particular in maintaining international peace and security and employing international machinery for the promotion of the economic and social advancement of all peoples, and in promoting and encouraging respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, as envisaged in the Charter of the United Nations, as well as in promoting effective multilateralism, and notes that the cost of all activities that may arise from the implementation of the present resolution should be met from voluntary contributions;

Requeststhe Secretary-General to bring the present resolution to the attention of all States Members and observers of the United Nations and the organizations of the United Nations system.
