Takes note of the progress report of the Secretary-General on the implementation of the recommendations contained in his report on the causes of conflict and the promotion of durable peace and sustainable development in Africa, and welcomes recent developments in addressing such causes and other efforts in conflict prevention, peacemaking, peacekeeping and post-conflict peacebuilding undertaken by African countries, African regional organizations and the United Nations system;
