Reaffirms its role in accordance with the provisions of Article 19 of the Charter and the advisory role of the Committee on Contributions in accordance with rule 160 of the rules of procedure of the General Assembly;

Also reaffirms its resolution 54/237 C;

Requests the Secretary-General to bring to the attention of Member States the deadline specified in resolution 54/237 C, including through an early announcement in the Journal of the United Nations and through direct communication;

Urges all Member States requesting exemption under Article 19 of the Charter to submit as much information as possible in support of their requests and to consider submitting such information in advance of the deadline specified in resolution 54/237 C to enable the collation of any additional detailed information that may be necessary;

Agrees that the failure of the Central African Republic, the Comoros, Georgia, Guinea-Bissau, Somalia and Tajikistan to pay the full minimum amount necessary to avoid the application of Article 19 of the Charter was due to conditions beyond their control;

Decides that the Central African Republic, the Comoros, Georgia, Guinea-Bissau, Somalia and Tajikistan should be permitted to vote in the General Assembly until the end of its sixtieth session;

Takes note of the information provided by the representatives of Liberia, the Niger and Sao Tome and Principe;

Concludes that the failure of Liberia, the Niger and Sao Tome and Principe to pay the full minimum amount necessary to avoid the application of Article 19 of the Charter was due to conditions beyond their control, and invites Liberia, the Niger and Sao Tome and Principe to submit appropriate information to the Committee on Contributions if similar circumstances prevail in the future;

Decides that Liberia, the Niger and Sao Tome and Principe should be permitted to vote in the General Assembly until the end of its sixtieth session;

Decides also that future exemptions under Article 19 of the Charter shall generally be granted through the end of the session of the General Assembly at which related requests are considered;

Reaffirms paragraph 1 of its resolution 57/4 B;

Endorses the conclusions and recommendations of the Committee on Contributions concerning multi-year payment plans, as contained in paragraphs 63 to 65 of its report,Error: Reference source not found and encourages Member States with arrears to consider submitting such a plan;

Urges all Member States to pay their assessed contributions in full, on time and without imposing conditions;
