Takes note of the status of contributions to the Peacekeeping Reserve Fund as at 31 December 2002;⁴

Endorses the recommendation contained in the report of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions,⁵ and requests the Secretary-General to ensure its full implementation;

Decides to apply the amount of 33,250,000 United States dollars, representing the amount in excess of the authorized level of 150 million dollars for the Fund, to the requirements of the support account for peacekeeping operations for the period from 1 July 2003 to 30 June 2004;

Requests the Secretary-General, consequent upon the full establishment of the strategic deployment stocks and the pre-mandate commitment authority, to review the level of the Fund and to report thereon to the General Assembly at the second part of its fifty-eighth session.
