Decides, subject to the emergence of a consensus on its objectives and agenda, to convene the fourth special session of the General Assembly devoted to disarmament;

Requests the Secretary-General to seek the views of Member States on the objectives, agenda and timing of the special session and to report to the General Assembly at its fifty-seventh session;

Decides to include in the provisional agenda of its fifty-seventh session the item entitled “Convening of the fourth special session of the General Assembly devoted to disarmament”.
