Expresses grave concern over the plight of migrant women workers who become victims of physical, mental and sexual harassment and abuse;

Calls upon all countries, particularly the sending and receiving countries, to cooperate with each other in taking appropriate steps to ensure that the rights of women migrant workers are protected;

Urges all States to adopt appropriate measures to provide support setvices to women victims of violence and to provide resources for their physical and psychological rehabilitation;

Requests the Secretary-General, in view of the time constraints and pending the completion of a written report, to make a preliminary oral report, through the Commission on the Status of Women and the Economic and Social Council, to the General Assembly at its forty-eighth session, on the implementation of the present resolution under the item entitled "Advancement of women".
