Efforts and Measures for Securing the Implementation by States and the Enjoyment by Youth of Human Rights in Conditions of Peace, Particularly the Right to Education and to Work
Calls upon all States, all governmental and nongovernmental organizations, interested United Nations bodies and the specialized agencies to continue to give priority to the formulation and implementation of effective measures for securing the exercise by youth of the right to education and to work, in conditions of peace, with a view to resolving the problem of unemployment among youth;

Requeststhe Commission for Social Development, the Economic and Social Council and all other relevant United Nations bodies to give adequate consideration on a regular basis to the enjoyment by youth of human rights, particularly the right to education and to work;

Requeststhe Secretary-General, when preparing his interim report on the stage of implementation of the guidelines for further planning and suitable follow-up in the field of youth22 to the Commission for Social Development at its thirty-first session, to take account of the implementation by States and the enjoyment by youth of human rights, particularly the right to education and to work, so that the Commission may adopt recommendations aimed at a solution to youth unemployment;

Invitesnational co-ordinating bodies and bodies implementing policies and programmes in the field of youth to give appropriate priority in the follow-up activities to the International Youth Year: Participation, Development, Peace to the implementation and the enjoyment by youth of human rights, particularly the right to education and to work.
