Taking into consideration resolution GC (XXXI)/ RES/470 adopted by the General Conference of the Inter national Atomic Energy Agency, in which the General Conference called upon Israel to place all its nuclear facili ties under Agency safeguards,

Deeply alarmed by recent information in regard to the continuing production, development and acquisition of nuclear weapons by Israel,

Aware of the grave consequences that endanger interna tional peace and security as a result of Israel's develop ment and acquisition of nuclear weapons and Israel's col laboration with South Africa to develop nuclear weapons and their delivery systems,

Deeply concerned that the declared Israeli policy of at tacking and destroying nuclear facilities devoted to peace ful purposes is a part of its nuclear armament policy,

Reiterates its condemnation of Israel's refusal to re nounce any possession of nuclear weapons;

Reiterates also its condemnation of the co-operation between Israel and South Africa;

Requests once more the Security Council to take ur gent and effective measures to ensure that Israel complies with Council resolution 487 (1981);

Calls upon all States and organizations that have not yet done so to discontinue co-operating with and giving as sistance to Israel in the nuclear field;

Reiterates its request to the International Atomic Energy Agency to suspend any scientific co-operation with Israel which could contribute to its nuclear capabili ties;

Requests also the International Atomic Energy Agency to inform the Secretary-General of any steps Is rael may undertake to place its nuclear facilities under Agency safeguards;

Requests the Secretary-General to follow closely Is 7. raeli nuclear activities and to report to the General As sembly at its forty-third session;

Decides to include in the provisional agenda of its forty-third session the item entitled "Israeli nuclear arma ment".

Welcomes the adoption of the Final Document of the International Conference on the Relationship between Disarmament and Development; 113 Decides to have the report of the Conference brought to the attention of the Preparatory Committee for the Third Special Session of the General Assembly De voted to Disarmament;

Requests the Preparatory Committee to include in the agenda of the third special session of the General As sembly devoted to disarmament an item entitled "Rela tionship between disarmament and development, in the light of the action programme adopted at the Interna tional Conference"; f14 4.

Requests the Secretary-General to take action through the appropriate organs, within available re sources, for the implementation of the action programme

adopted at the International Conference.

Appeals once again to the Antarctic Treaty Consul tative Parties to take urgent measures to exclude the racist apartheid regime of South Africa from participation in the meetings of the Consultative Parties at the earliest possible date;

Invites the States parties to the Antarctic Treaty to inform the Secretary-General on the actions taken regard ing the provisions of the present resolution;

Requests the Secretary-General to submit a report in this regard to the General Assembly at its forty-third session;

Decides to include in the provisional agenda of its forty-third session the item entitled "Question of Antarc tica".

Calls upon the Antarctic Treaty Consultative Par ties to invite the Secretary-General or his representative to all meetings of the Treaty parties, including their consulta tive meetings and the minerals regime negotiations;

Requests the Secretary-General to submit a report on his evaluations thereon to the General Assembly at its forty-third session;

Also calls upon the Antarctic Treaty Consultative Parties to impose a moratorium on the negotiations to es tablish a minerals regime until such time as all members of the international community can participate fully in such negotiations;

Urges all States Members of the United Nations to co-operate with the Secretary-General and to continue consultations on all aspects relating to Antarctica;

Decides to include in the provisional agenda of its forty-third session the item entitled "Question of Antarc tica"
