Takes note of the part of the report of the Conference on Disarmament on its 1986 session that deals with the question of radiological weapons, in particular the report of the Ad Hoc Committee on Radiological Weap­ ons;44 2.
Takes note also of the recommendation of the Con­ ference on Disarmament that the Ad Hoc Committee on Radiological Weapons should be re-established at the be­ ginning of its 1987 session;

Recognizes that the work done by the Ad Hoc Com­ mittee in 1986 was useful in terms of the mandate en­ trusted to it;

Requests the Conference on Disarmament to con­ tinue its negotiations on the subject with a view to a prompt conclusion of its work, taking into account all proposals presented to the Conference to this end, the re­ sult of which should be submitted to the General Assem­ bly at its forty-second session;

Also requests that the Secretary-General transmit to the Conference on Disarmament all relevant documents relating to the discussion of all aspects of the issue by the General Assembly at its forty-first session;

Decides to include in the provisional agenda of its forty-second session the item entitled "Prohibition of the development, production, stockpiling and use of radiolog­ ical weapons".
