Requeststhe relevant organs, organizations and bodies of the United Nations system and other multilateral organizations to take appropriate measures to provide assistance to Bangladesh for disaster preparedness and prevention programmes, taking into account the existing coordinated efforts of Member States;

Requeststhe Office of the United Nations Disaster Relief Co-ordinator to assist, in co-operation with other relevant agencies, the Government of Bangladesh in preparing a time-bound plan in this regard;

Requeststhe Secretary-General to report to the General Assembly at its forty-first session on the progress made in the implementation of the present resolution.
