Reiterates its request to the Governments of Argen tina and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and North ern Ireland to resume negotiations in order to find as soon as possible a peaceful solution to the sovereignty dispute and their remaining differences relating to the question of the Falkland Islands (Malvinas);

Requests the Secretary-General to continue his renewed mission of good offices in order to assist the par ties in complying with the request made in paragraph I above, and to take the necessary measures to that end;

Requests the Secretary-General to submit to the General Assembly at its fortieth session a report on the progress made in thª implementation of the present reso lution;

Decides to include in the provisional agenda of its fortieth session the item entitled "Question of the Falk land Islands (Malvinas)".
