Endorses the assessments and recommendations con tained in the report of the Secretary-General on assistance to Zimbabwe;

Expresses its appreciation to those Member States and regional and international organizations that have ex tended economic assistance to Zimbabwe through bilateral and multilateral arrangements;

Emphasizes that the social and economic reccnstruc tion of Zimbabwe is an ongoing exercise that will continue to require a massive injection of external assistance;

_Invites ŉppropriate orŊaniza!ions and programmes of the Umted Nations system-m particular the United Nations Development Programme, the World Bank, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations the Inter national Fund for Agricultural Development, 'the World Health Organization, the United Nations Children's Fund the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Orga!1ization and thŋ International Labour Organisation to bŌng to_ the attentmn of their governing bodies, for their consideration, the urgent and special needs of Zimbabwe and to report the decisions of those bodies to the Secretary General by 15 July 1982;

Requests the Secretary-General:

(a) To continue h_is efforts to mobilize the necessary resources for an effective programme of financial, technical and material assistance to Zimbabwe;

To ensure that adequate financial and budgetary ar rangements are made to continue the mobilization of inter national assistance to Zimbabwe;

To keep the situation in Zimbabwe under constant review, to maintain close contact with Member States the speciōlizt:<I agencieŎ, regio!lal and other intergovernm;ntal orgamzatmns and mternat1onal financial institutions con cerned, and to apprise the Economic and Social Council at its second regular session of I 982, of the current statuŏ of the special programme of economic assistance for Zimbabwe;

(d). _To arra_nge for a review of the progress made in orga!lizmŐ and implementing the special programme of eco nomic őss1stance for that country in time for the matter to be cŒms1dered by the General Assembly at its thirty-seventh session.
