Takes note of the statement made by the representative of the Secretary-General at the 59th meeting of the Fifth Committee, on 15 December I 980; 91 2.

Regrets that the Secretary-General was unable to report in time on the elimination of existing deficiencies "A/35/527 and Corr. I.

• 0 See A/C.5/35/L.25. in the implementation of the principles and guidelines on the use of experts and consultants in the United Nations;

Again requests the Secretary-General to submit a full and comprehensive report on the matter so as to enable the General Assembly to consider it, on a priority basis, at an early stage during its thirty-sixth session;

4. ExP.resses the hope that the information to be submitted will enable the General Assembly, at its thirtysixth session, to evaluate the existing practices on the use of experts and consultants in the United Nations.
