Takes note of the report of the Secretary-General on co-operation between the United Nations and the Organization of African Unity3ri and commends his efforts in promoting such co-operation;

Expresses its deep appreciation of the outstanding contribution made by the Organization of African Unity in the relevant work of the United Nations bodies concerned;

Invites the Organization of African Unity and the United Nations to co-operate fully in the speedy implementation of the Maputo Declaration in Support of the Peoples of Zimbabwe and Namibia and the Programme of Action for the Liberation of Zimbabwe and Namibia,40 adopted by the International Conference in Support of the Peoples of Zimbabwe and Namibia, held at Maputo from 16 to 21 May 1977, and the Lagos Declaration for Action against Apartheid,41
