Takes note of the reports of the Secretary-General89 and the Advisory Committee on Administrative
so A/C.5/31/22 and Corr.I. and Budgetary Questions90 on the expansion of meeting rooms and improvement of conference servicing and delegate facilities at United Nations Headquarters;
Concurs with the recommendations of the Advisory Committee contained in paragraphs 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 30, 33, 36, 38 and 39 of its report, as summarized in paragraphs 40 and 41;

Decides to defer action on any of the options outlined in paragraphs 3 to 5 of the report of the Secretary-General with respect to the seating arrangement to be used in the reconstruction of the General Assembly Hall;

Requests the President of the General Assembly, following consultations with Member States, to inform the Secretary-General, by 31 January 1977 at the latest, of the option most acceptable to Member States;
5
Requests the Secretary-General, on the basis of that information, to proceed with plans for reconstruction of the General Assembly Hall and to submit a report to the Assembly at its thirty-second session.
