Decides, as an interim measure, to authorize the Secretary-General to draw on the Working Capital Fund in the amount of $25,000 in 1973 for assistance to Governments, at their request, in co-operation with the organizations of the United Nations system and the League of Red Cross Societies, where appropriate, in the elaboration of national preparations to meet natural disasters;

Calls upon the Secretary-General to explore various means, including support through the United Nations Development Programme, of making adequate provision subsequently for this purpose and to report on this matter to the General Assembly at its twentyeighth session.
