Recalling its past resolutions relating to the United Nations Institute for Training ancl Research, particnlarly resolution 2277 (XXII) of 4 December 1967, and the resolutions of the Economic and Social Council on that subject, particularly resolution 1339 (XL V) of 16 July 1968,

Endorses Economic and Social Council resolution 1339 (XLV);

No tes with satisfaction the Executive Director's policy paper,7 annexe.d to bis report to the General Assembly, on the strategy, scope and limitations of the Institnte's training activities, which has been approwd by the Board of Trustees;

Further notes that the Execntive Director intends to condnct a review of the research programmes of the Institnte to be snbmittecl in dne conrse to the Board of Trustees:
