Requests the Secretary-General to continue his efforts to use as fully as possible the existing United ~ ations programmes of technical co-operation and, particularly, to make available to those indigenous inhabitants of the Territories under Portuguese administratio~ who are or who may be temporarily residing in various countries or territories outside the Territories administered by Portugal the benefits of such prog-rammes, with the consent and co-operation of the host Governments ;

Draws the attention of Member States within whos_e 1:>oundaries great numbers of refugees from Terntones under Portuguese administration reside to the possibilities available to them of obtaining assistance from the United Nations programmes of technical co_-operation, f?: ~he purpose of providing these refugees with more fac1httes for secondary, vocational and technical education;

Invites the specialized agencies to co-operate in the_ ~stablishment and i1;1plementation of the special trau~mg pro_gramme mentioned above by offering every possible assistance and such facilities and resources as they may be able to provide;

Expresses its appreciation to Member States which hav~ e:i:::tended offers of scholarships to students from Terntones under Portuguese administration;

Invites Member States which have offered scholarships, and those which plan to do so, to consider in the fi~st place offers <;>f scholarships. for secondary education and for vocat10nal and techmcal training;

Requests Member States to inform the Secretary- General of any scholarships offered and of awards made and utilized;

Further requests Member States to facilitate the travel of students from Territories under Portuguese administration seeking to avail themselves of the educational opportunities offered;

Reiterates its request to the Government of Portugal to co-operate in the implementation of the special training programme for inhabitants of Territories under Portuguese administration ;
