Approves the revisions in the programme for the modernization of the Palais des N ations as set out in the report of the Secretary-General as well as the proposals for financing the entire programme, as modified, at a cost not to exceed $2,081,000;

Authorizesthe Secretary-General to proceed with the execution of the revised programme ;

Decides that the schedule of annual budget instalments contained in paragraphs 3 (a) of General Assembly reso1ution 1447 (XIV) shall be amended as follows:

Authorizesthe Secretary-General to advance from the Vv orking Capital Fund the sums which may be required from time to time to finance the actual requirements of the programme, such advances to be repaid from budgetary appropriations in accordance with the schedule annexed to the Secretary-General's report;

Requeststhe Secretary-General to keep the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions informed of developments in the progress oí the modernization programme.
