Requests the Administering Authorities concerned to propose, after consultation with the representatives of the inhabitants, for the consideration of the General Assembly at its fifteenth session, time-tables and targets for the attainment of independence by the Trust Territories of Tanganyika and Ruanda-Unmdi in the near future;

Invites the Administering Authorities concerned to formulate, in respect of the remaining Trust Territories, early successive intermediate targets and dates in the fields of political, economic, social and educational development so as to create, as soon as possible, favourable conditions for the attainment of self-government or independence;

Requests the Trusteeship Council, in its examination of the annual rl'ports submittr<l by the Administering Authorities and in formulating the terms of reference of the 1960 visiting mission to Trust Territories in Africa, to keep in view the provisions of the present resolution.
