Resolves that

There shall be established, for the period between the closing of the present session and the opening of the next regular session of the General Assembly, an Interim Committee on which each Member of the General Assembly shall have the right to appoint one representative;

The lnterim Committee, as a subsidiarv organ of the General Assembly established in acéordance with Article 22 of the Charter, shall assist the General Assembly in the performance of its fonctions by discharging the following duties:

To consider and report, with its conclusions, to the General Assembly on such matters as have been referred toit by the General Assembly;

Consciente de la responsabilité que lui confère

Estimant nécessaire, pour mener à bien ces tâches, de créer une commission intérimaire qui

Décide:

de la prochaine session ordinaire de l'Assemblée générale, une Commission intérimaire à laquelle chaque Membre de l'Assemblée générale a le droit de nommer un représentant;

La Commission intérimaire, en tant qu'organe subsidiaire de l'Assemblée générale établi conformément à l' Artide 22 de la Charte, seconde l'Assemblée générale dans l'accomplissement de ses fonctions en remplissant les tâches suivantes: l'Assemblée générale et faire rapport à leur sujet ;\ l'Assemblée générale en lui soumettant ses conclusions;

b' Etudier tout difffrrnd ou toute situation dont l'inscription à l'ordre du jour de l'Assemblée générale a été demandée, en vertu des Articles 11 ( paragraphe 2), 14 ou 35 de la Charte, par un Etat 1\frmbre de l'Organisation des Nations Unies

( e) To conduct investigations and appoint commissions of enqniry within the scope of its duties, as it may deem uscful and necessary, pro-- vided that decisions to conduct snch investigations or enquiries shall be made by a two-thirds majority of the members prcscnt and voting. An investigation or enquiry clsewhere than at the headquarters of the United Nations shall not be conducted without the consent of the State or States in whose territory it is to take place;

(/) To report to the next regular session of the General Assembly on the advisability of establishing a permanent committee of the General Assembly to perform the duties of the Interim Committee as stated above with any changes considered desirable in the light of experimœ;

ln discharging its d11tie, the lnterim Committee shall at ail times take into account the responsibilitics of the Security Council under the Charter for the maintenance of international peace and security as well as the duties assigned by the Charter or bv the Gcncral Assembly or bv the Securitv Council to other Councils or to anv committee ~r commission. The Intcrim Committee shall not consider anv mattcr of which the Security Council is scizcd;

Subject to paragraphs 2 ( h) and 2 ( e 1 above, the rules of procedure of the General Assembly shall, so far as they are applicable, govern the proceedings of the lnterim Committee and such sub-committces and commissions as it may set up. The lnterim Committee shall, however, have authority to adopt surh additional rules as it may deem neces.sary provickd that they are not inconsistent with any of the rnks of procedure of the General Assemblv.
