Welcomes the report of the Human Rights Council Advisory Committee on the impact, opportunities and challenges of neurotechnology with regard to the promotion and protection of all human rights, presented to the Human Rights Council at its fifty-seventh session;

Requeststhe Advisory Committee to draft a set of recommended guidelines for applying the existing human rights framework to the conception, design, development, testing, use and deployment of neurotechnologies and to present it to the Council at its sixty-fourth session;

Also requeststhe Advisory Committee, when drafting the above-mentioned recommended guidelines, to seek the views and inputs of all stakeholders and to take them into account, as well as the relevant work that has already been done, including by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization;

Invitesthe United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, the treaty bodies and the special procedures of the Human Rights Council, within their respective mandates, to give due consideration to the impact of neurotechnology on the full enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms;

Decides to remain seized of this matter.
