At its 68th plenary meeting, on 20 February 2019, the General Assembly, on the nomination of the Secretary- General, elected Ms. Inger ANDERSEN of Denmark as Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme for a four-year term of office.18

Subsequently, the Secretary-General informed the General Assembly that the term of office of Ms. ANDERSEN would be from 15 June 2019 to 14 June 2023.19
