At its 81st plenary meeting, on 22 December 2015, the General Assembly, on the proposal of its President,40 as orally revised:

(a) Decided to convene on 19 September 2016 a high-level plenary meeting of the General Assembly, within existing resources, on addressing large movements of refugees and migrants;

(b) Requested the Secretary-General to prepare a comprehensive report, to be submitted no later than May 2016, setting out recommendations on ways to address large movements of refugees and migrants;

(c) Requested the President of the General Assembly to finalize the organizational arrangements, including on a possible outcome, for the high-level meeting through open, transparent and inclusive consultations with Member States.
