At its 42nd plenary meeting, on 28 October 2015, the General Assembly, pursuant to its resolutions 60/251 of 15 March 2006 and 65/281 of 17 June 2011, elected BELGIUM, BURUNDI, CÔTE D’IVOIRE, ECUADOR, ETHIOPIA,

members of the Human Rights Council for a three-year term of office beginning on 1 January 2016 to fill the vacancies occurring on the expiration of the terms of office of ARGENTINA, BRAZIL, CÔTE D’IVOIRE, ESTONIA,

As a result, as of 1 January 2016, the Human Rights Council is composed of the following 47 Member States:
