At its 48th plenary meeting, on 3 December 2012, the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the First Committee,47 recalling its resolution 65/66 of 8 December 2010, by a recorded vote of 181 to none, with 4 abstentions,49 decided:

(a) To hold, at a later date, an organizational session of the Open-ended Working Group on the fourth special session of the General Assembly devoted to disarmament for the purpose of setting a date for its substantive sessions in 2013 and 2014; the Working Group should submit a report on its work, including possible substantive recommendations, before the end of the sixty-ninth session of the General Assembly;

(b) To include in the provisional agenda of its sixty-eighth session, under the item entitled “General and complete disarmament”, the sub-item entitled “Convening of the fourth special session of the General Assembly devoted to disarmament”.
