At its 71st plenary meeting, on 2 December 2011, the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the First Committee,57 recalling its resolution 65/68 of 8 December 2010 and previous resolutions on this matter, decided to include in the provisional agenda of its sixty-eighth session the item entitled “Transparency and confidence-building measures in outer space activities”.
