At its 55th plenary meeting, on 2 December 2009, the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the First Committee,45 recalling its resolution 62/46, adopted unanimously on 5 December 2007, decided to include in the provisional agenda of its sixty-fifth session the item entitled “Preventing the acquisition by terrorists of radioactive materials and sources”.
