At its 82nd plenary meeting, on 15April 2010, the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the Special Committee on the Situation with regard to the Implementation of the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples,25 appointed NICARAGUA as a member of the Special Committee.26
