At its 61st plenary meeting, on 2 December 2008, the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the First Committee,42 recalling its resolution 62/29 of 5 December 2007 and its decision 62/552 of 11 September 2008, decided to include in the provisional agenda of its sixty-fourth session the item entitled “Convening of the fourth special session of the General Assembly devoted to disarmament”.
