At its 83rd plenary meeting, on 12 May 2009, the General Assembly, pursuant to its resolution 60/251 of 15 March 2006, elected as members of the Human Rights Council, for a three-year term of office beginning on 19 June 2009, BANGLADESH, BELGIUM, CAMEROON,

URUGUAY to fill the vacancies occurring on the expiration of the terms of office of AZERBAIJAN,

and URUGUAY.

As a result, the Human Rights Council is composed of the following forty-seven Member

CAMEROON,*** CHILE,** CHINA,*** CUBA,*** DJIBOUTI,*** EGYPT,* FRANCE,** GABON,**

NORWAY,***

* Term of office expires on 18 June 2010.
