At its 79th plenary meeting, on 23 December 2003, the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the Fifth Committee,118 and having considered the report of the Joint Inspection Unit on support costs related to extrabudgetary activities in organizations of the United Nations system119 and the note by the Secretary-General transmitting his comments and those of the United Nations System Chief Executives Board for Coordination thereon,120 as well as the related report of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions,121 requested the Joint Inspection Unit to provide
further clarification of its recommendations 1, 4, 6, 8 and 9 and decided to continue its consideration of this matter at the first part of its resumed fifty-eighth session.
