At its 35th plenary meeting, on IS October 1981, the General Assembly, in accordance with Article 61 of the Charter of Ihe United Nations and rule 145 of the rules of procedure of the Assembly, elected AUSTRIA, BENIN, BRAZil., COLOMBIA, FRANCE, GERMANY, FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF, GREECE. JAPAN, LIBERIA. MALI, PAKISTAN, POR- TUGAL, QATAR, ROMANIA, SAINT LUCIA. SWAZILAND, TUNISIA and VENEZUELA members of the Economic and Social Council for a three-year term beginning on I January 1982 to fill the vacancies occurring on the expiration of the terms of office of ALGERIA, BARBADOS, BRAZIL, CYPRUS, ECUADOR, FRANCE, the GERMAN DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC, GERMANY, FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF, GHANA, INDONESIA, IRELAND. MOROCCO, PAKISTAN, SENEGAL, SPAIN, TURKEY, VENEZUELA and ZAMBIA.
